At the end of the game, Tattletail and its rainbow-colored friends started a ritual in order to seal Mama Tattletail once and for all.
The duo play games at midnight while evading Mama Tattletail, with the main character constantly needing to take care of the toy. The main character recieves a Tattletail in a box for Christmas, unknowingly bringing its overprotective mother as well. It is friendly towards children but is actively being defended by its mother, which was taken off shelf for unknown purposes. The game involve the player having to take care of their Talking Tattletail that they opened 5 days before Christmas, and also avoiding the blood thirsty Mama Tattletail.
